Purpose Statement
We will make a positive impact on student learning by researching and modeling literacy strategies across all curriculums and by serving as literacy leaders at AC Reynolds High School.
· We will meet monthly to share new literacy strategies and to plan staff development.
· We will facilitate faculty observations for the purpose of professional discourse.
· We will keep our colleagues engaged in literacy and the Buncombe County Instructional Framework through our Weebly,
department, faculty, and PLC meetings, learning walks, and professional development.
· We will serve as content coaches in our departments and as liaisons to the literacy coach.

To make our team meetings positive and productive experiences for all members, we make the following collective commitments to each other:

Norms
To make our team meetings positive and productive experiences for all members, we make the following collective commitments to each other:
- Begin and end our meetings on time and stay fully engaged during each meeting;
- Maintain positive attitude at team meetings—no complaining unless we offer a better alternative;
- Give all members time to speak; to listen respectfully to each other; and to minimize interruptions;
- Complete our share of the workload;
- Make decisions on the basis of consensus;
- Attend meetings sufficiently prepared to contribute; and
- Fully support each other’s efforts to improve student learning.
